Completing Your Profile

Once you’ve registered you can use every feature in gigglemusic. But if the app is to be useful to you, particularly as a player, teacher, or business owner, you should add more details to your profile.

If you’re a player you should:

• Define yourself as a Performer and specify the Instruments (or Voice, etc.) you play
• Enter the Qualifications you possess

If you’re a teacher you should additionally:

• Define yourself as a Teacher and specify the Instruments (or Voice, etc.) that you teach

If you’re a business (shop, repairer, reed maker, etc.) you should:

• Define the business that you own or run

Tap Edit Profile under your profile name or tap the ‘hamburger’ menu to the right and then Edit Profile.

Editing your profile

You can modify your profile details directly, except for your password, which you can modify using the Change Password button further down the page.

Note that if you choose to modify your profile you’ll discover that a few more fields are mandatory.

Edit pic	You can change the pic on your profile (subject to gigglemusic approval).
Email	If you want to change your email, tap the Change Password button further down the page.
Full Name	This is the name associated with your profile, and will be visible to other users. It can be modified at any time.
Date of Birth	Optional, but if you enter this your age will be shown on your profile.
Version	This shows the version of the gigglemusic app that you’ve installed. You may be asked to provide this when seeking support.
Display language	Choose one of the available languages.   Display language affects labels and some system field values, but does not invoke automatic translation of text field values entered by you or other users.
Base Location	Use google maps to set your base location. This is used to calculate your proximity to others (though never less than 100 metres), but you can choose whatever earthly location suits you.
Status	Choose the value that most accurately describes you.

Spoken Languages	This will be visible on your profile
I am a… Performer	If you check this checkbox gigglemusic will open a new page where you can begin to enter details of the Instruments (or Voices, etc.) that you play.   See below.
I am a… Teacher	If you check this checkbox gigglemusic will open a new page where you can begin to enter details of the Instruments (or Voices, etc.) that you teach.   See below.
I am a… Business	If you check this checkbox gigglemusic will open a new page where you can begin to enter details of the Business that you own or run.   See below.
Endorsements Given	This button will show you the Endorsements that other users have given you and that you have accepted.
Qualifications	This button will open a new page where you can add your Qualifications.
Change Password	Tap to change your password.
Distances in	Choose Km or Miles
Do not reveal my distance	Check if you want gigglemusic never to reveal your distance from other users.
Omit my profile from searches	Check if you never want to appear in People searches, but understand that this means no one will be able to find you, invite you or chat with you.   You will nevertheless be able to find others, invite them and chat with them.
Only reveal my distance from base location	Check if you want gigglemusic to ignore your current location when determining your position relative to others, always using your Base Location instead.

Telephone	This will be visible to other users.
Linkedin	Enter the full URL for your Linkedin profile
Facebook	Enter the full URL for your Facebook profile
Instagram	Enter the full URL for your Instagram profile
Personal Website	Enter the full URL for your personal website
Looking for	This text will be visible to others with your profile details

Tap Delete Profile if you want to delete your entire profile (gigglemusic keeps nothing).

Tap Terms & Conditions to review the Terms & Conditions you’ve already accepted.

Tap Save to save the changes you’ve made.

Tap For Sale to add any items you want to offer for sale to other users.

Tap Gigs & Jobs I’m Offering to add any gigs or jobs you want to offer to other users.
