Home Page
Header
The Header area contains your name and pic and a link to Edit Profile.
Click on the ‘hamburger’ menu icon and you’ll open a new set of options.
View Profile shows you how your profile looks to other users.
Edit Profile takes you to the Edit Profile page (see below for details).
Print Curriculum opens a browser window to display a Curriculum Vitae based on the data you’ve entered into your profile.
Tap the Send Me as Docx button to email yourself a Word version of your CV.
There’s also Log-Out and Help.
Search Tiles
The next section of the page contains tiles that take you to list you can filter of:
- Gigs & Jobs – professional and amateur opportunities created by Users and by Group managers and members
- People – other gigglemusic users (except for those who have opted to be omitted from searches)
- For Sale – items that other gigglemusic users have offered for sale
- Groups – musical organisations of many different kinds (orchestras, venues, agencies, discussion groups, clubs, choirs, etc.)
- Events – concerts, operas, talks, tours created by Users and by Group managers and members
- Businesses – shops, services and other businesses created by other gigglemusic Users
- Media Posts – pics, audio and video files posted by other gigglemusic Users

Create Something
Tap Create Something to find shortcuts for the creation of:
- A Gig/Job you’re offering to other gigglemusic Users
- A Group
- An Event
- A Business (part of your profile)
- An Item for Sale
- A Media post
- An Instrument (part of your profile)
- An Instrument You Teach (part of your profile)
- A Qualification (part of your profile)
Friends’ Posts
Friends’ Posts shows you the most recent Media Posts uploaded by your gigglemusic friends, by users you follow and by any member of a Group to which you belong.
Click on any of these to open the post.

Upcoming Events
Upcoming Events lists Events you’ve put into your gigglemusic diary and Events which have been placed in your diary because you’ve opted for automatic diary entry for a Group you belong to for which Events have been created.
You can remove an Event from your diary by tapping the red diary icon in an Event card.
You can see more details for an Event by tapping the Event name.
You can locate an Event on Google Maps by tapping the location icon in an Event card.
Tell your friends about gigglemusic
Tap this button to open a new page where you can list email addresses to which you want to send an invitation to join gigglemusic.
This is covered in a separate section of this guide.
The Lower Menu Bar
These icons have the following meaning:
Friendships are initiated from a user profile page and are shown here after confirmation by you or by the user whose friendship you’ve requested.
Tapping on a friend’s name will take you to his or her profile page.
Your diary is always shown from ‘today’, but by swiping down you can review your previous diary entries.
Events are included in your diary in the following ways:
- You have found an Event and tapped the icon that adds it to your diary
- You have created an Event yourself
- You have accepted another user’s invitation to an Event
- You belong to a Group and have opted for automatic entry into your diary of that Group’s Events
Tap on an Event to see more detail.
Tap on the red remove-from-diary icon to remove the Event.
Tap on the location icon to show the location of the Event in google Maps.
The Home icon takes you to the Home page.
My Groups lists:
- Your favourite Groups
- Groups you manage
- Groups you belong to
Favourite Groups might be those whose schedules you want to look at frequently (you can mark a Group as a favourite from a Group’s details page).
Groups you manage are usually Groups you have created yourself (though there is also a mechanism for transferring Group management from one user to another).
Groups you have joined (without request, on request, or after accepting an invitation, depending on settings for the Group).
This lists the chats that you’re involved in.
Chats can be one-to-one, multi-user chats, Group chats and Participants’ chats (all friends, plus members of Groups you belong to, who are attending an Event with you).
Tap on a chat to open it fully.
Invitations might be for Friendship, Event attendance, Group membership, etc. and are listed here.
Tap an invitation for more detail, otherwise check the invitation and either confirm or reject it.
